The tour generated over twice the gross revenue of any other concert tour in history.

Pop sensation Taylor Swift wrapped up her Eras Tour this past weekend, setting a new record for the highest ticket sales in concert history, surpassing $2 billion—more than double the earnings of any previous tour, according to The New York Times.

The previous record-holder was Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour, which began in 2022 and is still ongoing, bringing in just over $1 billion. Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour (2018-2023) ranks third with $939 million in earnings.

The Eras Tour kicked off in March 2023 in Glendale, Arizona, and concluded in Vancouver, Canada, at BC Place Stadium on Sunday. Before her final song, “Karma,” Swift expressed her gratitude, telling the crowd, “We have toured the entire world. We have had so many adventures. It has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging thing I’ve ever done in my entire life.” As she wrapped up the tour, the 14-time Grammy winner added, “Thank you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my entire life to date — my beloved Eras Tour.”

As reported by People, Taylor Swift distributed $197 million in bonuses to her Eras Tour crew, which included truck drivers, caterers, instrument techs, merch staff, lighting and sound teams, production assistants, carpenters, dancers, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics experts, riggers, hair, makeup, and wardrobe teams, physical therapists, and the video crew.

Now boasting a personal net worth exceeding $1 billion, Swift’s earnings extended beyond the tour and merchandise sales. She was the most-streamed artist of 2024 across platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Additionally, her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, was the most-streamed album of the year.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Swift also released The Eras Tour Book, a self-published project featuring photos and narratives from the tour. The book sold 814,000 copies within just two days.

Fans took to TikTok to highlight several typos and photo layout mistakes in the book, dubbing it “The Errors Tour Book.” Despite these criticisms, the book’s sales continued to soar, with a significant surge ahead of the holiday season.
