The singer of “Forever Young,” Rod Stewart, and his wife Penny Lancaster have been married since 2007.

Rod Stewart is responding to speculation that his marriage to Penny Lancaster is facing difficulties.

The rock legend took to social media to refute claims that he and Lancaster were at odds over living in California versus the U.K., labeling these reports as “false.”

In a statement shared on Instagram, Stewart clarified, “We want to set the record straight. There is absolutely no rift between Penny and me, nor any disagreement about our place of residence. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.”

He went on to explain, “We permanently relocated back to our cherished Britain a year ago, but we’re lucky to have homes in various countries that we enjoy visiting. Initially, we considered selling our place in L.A., but after spending a wonderful summer there with family and friends during my Vegas residency, we decided it makes sense to keep our home there.”

Stewart mentioned that two of his eight children continue to live in their Los Angeles home, known as Celtic House.

In closing his statement, the 79-year-old affirmed, “Penny and I are more in love with each other than ever after 27 wonderful years. Please believe me when I say… there is no discord in our marriage.”

He signed the note as, “Rod ‘a very lucky man’ Stewart.”

The “Forever Young” singer and Lancaster first met in 1999 during his separation from his former wife, Rachel Hunter.
