Riley Green says the greatest rewards in his career aren’t trophies or industry recognition—they’re the meaningful moments he shares with fans and loved ones.
The country singer has become one of the genre’s biggest stars in recent years and is currently on tour while preparing to release his upcoming album, That’s Just Me, on Sept. 18.
During an appearance on Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, released Wednesday, Green reflected on fame, success, and the things that genuinely bring him happiness.
When asked about the importance of awards and career achievements, Green said nothing compares to seeing fans connect with his music. According to the singer, watching concertgoers sing along to songs he wrote and witnessing the emotions those lyrics evoke is far more meaningful than receiving an award.
Green also spoke about what makes him feel the most proud. Rather than pointing to his musical accomplishments, he highlighted the personal milestones he’s achieved outside of the spotlight. He said he takes greater satisfaction in building his farm, providing his parents with a comfortable home, and buying his father a truck than in anything he’s purchased for himself.
The “Jesus Saves” singer added that some of his favorite moments come from seeing photos of his niece and nephew fishing in the lake on his property. For Green, those family memories represent lasting achievements that mean far more than professional accolades ever could.
