Country singer steps into acting with a role in the ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff ‘Marshals’ while staying grounded in his quiet farm life.

Riley Green is staying true to his Alabama roots rather than relocating to Nashville, even though he admits he has “every reason” to make the move.
Speaking with Fox News Digital at the premiere of the Yellowstone spinoff Marshals, Green explained that his farm in Alabama holds more value for him than career opportunities in Tennessee.
“I could easily move to Nashville, but it’s never really crossed my mind,” he shared. “I love my farm in Alabama—it’s where all my songwriting inspiration comes from.”
He added, “Life there moves at a much slower pace.”
A typical day for the “Worst Way” singer on the farm is relaxed.
“On my days off, I do as little as possible,” Green said. “But I still hop on the tractor, do some clearing, and work alongside my dad. I have plenty of animals and dogs, and we just take it easy.”
Back in December, Green described his pursuit of country music fame as simply work, while his “real life” is spent farming and hunting in Alabama.
“I don’t have to remind myself too much,” he told the Like a Farmer podcast. “Being at my place in Alabama keeps me grounded. Life is slower there.”
He elaborated, “What we do for a living isn’t the real world. Fans cheering your name before a show, late-night TV appearances—they’re part of building a career. But in reality, I’d rather be on a bulldozer on the farm or out hunting.”
Green is now stepping into acting with Marshals, a spinoff of the Luke Grimes-led Yellowstone.
At the premiere, he admitted that filming was far more nerve-wracking than performing on stage.
“It was definitely more stressful,” he said. “I don’t get nervous on stage anymore, but being the new guy on a set was completely different. It was a whole new experience.”
