The actress, who shares the screen with Hugh Jackman, recently earned a Golden Globe nomination.

Kate Hudson turned heads at the New York City premiere of her film Song Sung Blue, dazzling in a green and pink gown with a plunging neckline and a keyhole cutout at the waist. The dress featured a sheer pink cape that gracefully draped over her shoulders and flowed down her back. Hudson styled her blonde hair in a sleek low bun and accessorized with delicate earrings.

The Golden Globe-nominated actress was joined on the red carpet by her partner Danny Fujikawa, her mother Goldie Hawn, and stepfather Kurt Russell. Hawn looked radiant in a sequined gown adorned with crystals, her signature blonde fringe framing her face. Hugh Jackman, Hudson’s co-star, appeared sharp in a classic suit and tie.

Song Sung Blue follows Hudson and Jackman’s characters, Claire and Mike Sardina, as they perform together in a Neil Diamond tribute band. The musical drama draws inspiration from the 2008 documentary of the same name, itself based on a true story.

The premiere came shortly after Hudson and her brother Oliver discussed their family’s approach to differing political opinions. On their podcast, Sibling Revelry, with guest Rahm Emanuel, the siblings shared that their family has “a lot of different beliefs” but values open discussion, even if it sometimes leads to arguments, emphasizing that they always come together in the end.

Kate and Oliver are the children of Goldie Hawn and musician Bill Hudson, who separated in 1982. Hawn began a relationship with Kurt Russell in 1983; they first met in 1968 and have been together ever since, sharing a son, Wyatt Russell. Russell also has a son, Boston, with his former wife Season Hubley.

Before closing the podcast interview, Emanuel thanked the Hudson siblings for highlighting the importance of family in their discussion.
