The 41-year-old suffered a broken collarbone just before Christmas, which left him unable to run or work out for several weeks.

Over the past several years, Jelly Roll has been open about his weight-loss journey. After shedding more than 200 pounds, the “Save Me” singer recently shared that he feels he has “lost his way” a bit.
In a YouTube video posted on Friday, the 41-year-old country artist discussed a setback in his health progress, including some weight regain and a pause in his routine.
He explained that after three years of consistent effort, he decided to relax during the holidays. That led to large holiday meals for Thanksgiving, his birthday, and Christmas. Around the same time, he also broke his collarbone shortly before Christmas, which forced him to stop running, walking, and exercising for an extended period. Because of these changes, he admitted that he had, to some extent, drifted off track.
Although he was honored to appear on the cover of Men’s Health, Jelly Roll said he still hadn’t reached his ultimate target weight. He noted that the cover wasn’t the final goal, and he believes he is still about 40–60 pounds away from where he wants to be. He also shared that he has avoided stepping on the scale out of concern about the results.
Currently preparing for the New York City Marathon, he said he is refocusing on losing the remaining weight and staying accountable. He also mentioned long-term goals such as removing excess skin and eventually appearing on major magazine covers like GQ, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, Forbes, or Time without a shirt, expressing his belief that such a transformation story is possible.
After weighing himself, he revealed he had gained about 12 pounds, bringing him to 276 pounds.
Jelly Roll began his health transformation in December 2022. At the 2023 CMA Awards, he told Fox News Digital that the process had helped him “find a will to live,” emphasizing that his focus wasn’t on a specific number but on consistently making healthier choices and feeling better overall.
By 2024, he appeared on the red carpet after losing 100 pounds, marking a visible milestone in his journey. In an interview with People in November 2024, he attributed much of his struggle to long-standing food addiction and said developing discipline and changing his relationship with food had been the most difficult part, but also the most transformative once progress began.
