Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have officially ended their 27-year marriage, finalizing their divorce as of June 3, 2025, according to court records accessed by Fox News Digital. Documents from the Suffolk County Supreme Court in New York indicate the case is now marked “Disposed,” signifying it has been resolved.
Furness, 69, filed for divorce on May 27, with the terms described as uncontested, requiring only judicial approval. Legal documents also referenced agreements on the couple’s settlement, healthcare arrangements, and child support, People reports.
Despite requests for comment, representatives for both Jackman, 56, and Furness did not respond to Fox News Digital.
The pair first announced their separation in September 2023, describing the decision as mutual and respectful. Married in 1996—when Jackman was 27 and Furness was 40—the couple share two adopted children, Oscar and Ava.
Following her divorce filing, Furness made a public statement on May 27. “My heart and compassion go out to everyone who has faced the painful path of betrayal,” she said, calling the end of their relationship “a profound wound that cuts deep.”
She added that her belief in a higher power or universal guidance has helped her cope, saying, “This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage.” Furness also noted that the process has brought her unexpected clarity and personal growth.
Back in September 2023, the former couple issued a joint message through People, reflecting on their long relationship. “We feel blessed to have shared nearly 30 years together in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our path is changing now, and we’ve chosen to separate in order to continue evolving as individuals.”
In early 2025, Jackman made headlines again when he was seen holding hands with actress Sutton Foster—his co-star from The Music Man—during a dinner outing in Los Angeles. Jackman played Harold Hill in the Broadway revival of the show, with Foster portraying Marian Paroo. Their on-stage run lasted from February 2022 through January 2023.
Foster also recently went through a separation, having filed for divorce from screenwriter Ted Griffin in October after a decade of marriage.
