The cause of death for 25-year-old Lucy-Bleu Knight, who passed away on Friday, has not been disclosed.

Slash, the renowned guitarist from Guns N’ Roses, shared the heartbreaking news on his Instagram that his 25-year-old stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, unexpectedly passed away on Friday.
In his post, Slash wrote: “Lucy-Bleu Knight (born December 6, 1998), cherished daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister to Scarlet Knight, and stepsister to London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA, on July 19, 2024.”
He went on to say, “Lucy-Bleu was a remarkably gifted artist, a passionate dreamer, and a delightful, affectionate, and kind-hearted person.”
Slash’s statement concluded with, “The family requests privacy during this period and asks that social media speculation be minimized as they mourn and come to terms with this profound loss.”
Fox News Digital contacted representatives for Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, for a comment, but did not receive an immediate response.
The Department of Medical Examiner’s Office reported that Knight passed away at a private residence, but the cause of death has yet to be determined. An examination has been planned.
Prior to announcing Knight’s death, Slash had posted about the cancellation of several S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour performances in Ohio and Michigan this week, citing “unforeseen circumstances.”
“We value our fans and regret any inconvenience caused,” he wrote, mentioning that refunds were available for the canceled shows and that the tour would continue on July 28 in Toronto.
Slash is in a relationship with Knight’s mother, Meegan Hodges. According to Rolling Stone, the couple initially began their relationship in 1989 but separated before reuniting in 2015.
Hodges has Knight and her sister Scarlet with her former partner, Mark Knight, who later married producer Samantha Somers. Slash is also a father to two sons, London and Cash, with his ex-wife Perla Ferrar.
The Instagram message posted by Slash was also shared by Hodges on her account.
“Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated, controlled you, told you to quit your day job while I was financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity—I am sorry,” the caption reads, accompanying a photo of Knight. “So many missed opportunities and connections due to an overly inflated ego, an insecure heart, and a fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace.”
