The country music star has now set a new record for the most weeks at No. 1 by a female artist with a non-holiday song.
Ella Langley continues to strengthen her reputation as one of country music’s biggest rising stars, with her latest chart achievement adding another major milestone to her career.
Over the past few years, Langley has rapidly grown from a promising country artist into a major name in the genre. Her momentum was especially evident at the ACM Awards, where she dominated the ceremony with seven wins, further cementing her status as a leading figure in country music.
Now, Langley has reached another impressive milestone on the Billboard charts. Her hit single “Choosin’ Texas” has maintained a remarkable run on the Billboard Hot 100, continuing to outperform the competition.
According to Billboard, “Choosin’ Texas” has officially spent 18 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. The achievement gives Langley the record for the most weeks at the top of the chart by a female artist with a non-holiday song.
Mariah Carey’s holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” remains ahead overall with 22 weeks at No. 1.
Langley is also just one week away from matching the second-highest total on the chart. Reaching 19 weeks would put “Choosin’ Texas” alongside Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road.”
Her winning streak extends beyond “Choosin’ Texas.” Langley recently joined forces with Koe Wetzel on “Jaded,” another song that has quickly gained attention online.
With her continued chart success and growing popularity, Langley shows no signs of slowing down, and “Choosin’ Texas” could soon climb even higher in the record books.
