Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Concerts Following Doctor’s Advice
Dolly Parton has announced that she’s putting her upcoming Las Vegas shows on hold for health reasons.
The country music legend, 79, shared the news with fans on Instagram Sunday, explaining that her doctors recommended she undergo “a few procedures.” Despite the setback, she reassured everyone that she has no plans to step away from music.
“I want the fans and the public to hear it straight from me: unfortunately, I have to postpone my Las Vegas concerts,” she wrote. “As many of you know, I’ve been managing some health challenges, and my doctors insist that I take care of a few things first.”
The Jolene singer had been scheduled for six performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace later this year.
Adding her signature humor, Parton joked, “It must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up—though not with my plastic surgeon this time.” She continued more seriously, explaining that she wouldn’t be able to properly rehearse or deliver the kind of show her fans deserve without first focusing on her recovery.

Dolly Parton wants her fans to know she’s prioritizing both her health and her audience.
“You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” the 79-year-old country music icon said in her recent update. She added that while she’ll continue working on various projects from Nashville, she needs some extra time to get “show ready.”
Parton made it clear that she has no intention of stepping away from music: “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business, because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. He’s just telling me to slow down for now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding.”
The 9 to 5 singer also confirmed that the Las Vegas shows originally planned for December have been rescheduled to September 2026.
Her team has not yet responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Earlier this month, Parton also missed a Dollywood celebration for the launch of its new attraction, the Night Flight Expedition. In a video message played at the event, she revealed that health issues had kept her away. “I had a kidney stone that caused an infection, and the doctor told me not to travel until I’d had a few days to recover,” she explained.
