Alana Springsteen is set to tour with Keith Urban, a man who unknowingly changed her life.

“Keith is one of those artists I’ve admired for so long,” Springsteen shared with Fox News Digital during her debut at the Stagecoach Festival.

“I’m not sure if he knows this, but he essentially taught me how to play guitar when I was nine. I remember playing his records on repeat, trying to learn those licks and riffs, completely obsessed with his songwriting and everything he does. So, getting the chance to tour with him is incredibly special.”

The 24-year-old first met Urban at a show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and then again at Summerfest in Milwaukee.

“He actually invited me to join him and sing ‘We Were Us’ with him, which was when we really connected for the first time, and it was such a special moment,” she recalled. “I love that song, and I just hope I did Miranda [Lambert] proud — it’s such an iconic track.”

She added, “From that point on, we really hit it off, and I’m so thankful he invited me to join him on this tour. He’s an incredible entertainer, and his live shows are some of the best I’ve ever seen. I’m really looking forward to learning from him, having more conversations, and experiencing that family dynamic.”

Springsteen will be joining Urban on his High and Alive World Tour, which kicks off this month.

Springsteen also wrote her first song at the age of nine, around the time she discovered Urban’s music.

“It was called ‘Fairy Tale,'” she shared. “Even at nine, I was completely obsessed with love — just such a romantic. I didn’t know anything about love or heartbreak, but I was already writing about it.”

The “Goodbye Looks Good on You” singer added, “It was actually inspired by my parents’ love story—how they met, how they fell in love, all of it. And after writing that song, it was game over. I completely fell in love with the process of taking what was inside me and putting it into words. That was really important for me as a kid because I was more of an introvert in a family with big personalities. I was the one who would find a corner in my room, sit down, and journal or write about my feelings, so having that creative outlet was incredibly special.”

Springsteen’s debut album, Twenty Something, was released in 2023 to critical acclaim.

Since then, the Virginia-born artist has “grown in so many ways.”

“‘Twenty Something’ was a very personal album. It was my debut album,” she shared with Fox News Digital. “I wanted to start peeling back the layers, being authentic with my fans, telling the story of making mistakes, figuring things out, and hopefully getting it right. But honestly, that was just the tip of the iceberg.”
