Chris Pratt is nearly unrecognizable in his latest transformation.
On Friday, the Parks and Recreation alum gave fans a glimpse of his rugged new appearance via Instagram, posting from the set of season 2 of Amazon’s The Terminal List.
“Can we take a moment to appreciate this amazing hair and makeup?” said Pratt, who portrays Navy SEAL James Reece in the action-thriller. “The team really knocks it out of the park.”
He added with a grin, “I can’t spill the details just yet, but let’s just say there’s a reason my hands are covered in blood,” while holding up his stained palms.
“They’re incredible with the hair and makeup,” Pratt said enthusiastically. “This mustache is actually like a wig — the beard’s totally fake, but it looks amazing.”
He went on to joke about the downsides of wearing a faux beard: “The weird part is when you eat, you end up with hair in your mouth. It’s kind of gross because it’s obviously not your hair — and who even knows where it came from?” he said while pointing to the facial hair. “Just look at it.”
He wrapped up the video with a laugh, adding, “Anyway, whatever. I’m starving.”
Later that weekend, the 45-year-old actor took a moment to celebrate a personal milestone. On Sunday, he honored his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, in a heartfelt post marking their sixth wedding anniversary.
“Six years ago today, I married my best friend,” Pratt wrote, sharing a photo of the two during a romantic dinner. “You’ve taught me what love, grace, and strength really mean.”
He ended the tribute with, “Thank you for filling our life with joy, family, and faith. Happy anniversary, darling!”
