The country music artist will perform “America the Beautiful.”

Country music sensation Carrie Underwood is scheduled to perform “America the Beautiful” at Donald Trump’s second inauguration on January 20. A spokesperson from the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee confirmed the announcement to Fox News Digital. The 41-year-old “American Idol” alum will be accompanied by the Armed Forces Choir and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. The news was first revealed when Washington journalist Matthew Foldi posted a photo of the program on X.

She is scheduled to perform after Vice President-elect JD Vance is sworn in, and prior to Trump’s swearing-in.
At Trump’s 2017 inauguration, performances included the Radio City Rockettes, 3 Doors Down, Toby Keith, Big & Rich, and Jackie Evancho, a former “America’s Got Talent” finalist.
The performers at President Joe Biden’s 2021 inauguration included Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Bruce Springsteen, and Garth Brooks, according to The Hill.
Carrie Underwood, one of the best-selling artists of all time, gained widespread recognition after winning “American Idol” in 2005. She has generally kept her political views private, telling The Guardian in 2019 that she prefers to “stay far out of politics if possible, at least in public, because nobody wins.”
“I feel like more people try to pin me places politically,” she shared at the time. “Everybody tries to sum everything up and put a bow on it, like it’s black and white. And it’s not like that.”
Carrie Underwood’s husband, former NHL player Mike Fisher, has expressed more outspoken political views. He posted on Instagram, saying, “I stand with [Aaron Rodgers],” in support of the NFL quarterback’s stance against COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
