Police reportedly discovered unprescribed Adderall inside Britney Spears’ purse, along with an empty wine glass in the vehicle’s cup holder during the DUI traffic stop.
Britney Spears reportedly told officers she was “an angel” before being arrested in March on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to police documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
The 44-year-old singer allegedly informed California Highway Patrol officers that she could “probably drink four bottles of wine and still take care of you” before refusing to take an alcohol screening test.
After Spears was placed in handcuffs, officers searched her vehicle and reportedly found a bottle of unprescribed Adderall inside a brown purse. Authorities also noted that an empty wine glass was sitting in the cup holder between the driver and passenger seats.
When questioned about whether she had taken any substances before driving, Spears allegedly stated that she had consumed 200 milligrams of Lamictal and 40 milligrams of Prozac.
According to the report, officers detected a noticeable smell of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle, prompting them to begin a DUI investigation. Spears initially refused to leave the car and requested a lawyer before eventually cooperating with officers outside the vehicle.
The “Circus” singer reportedly explained that she hesitated to exit because she believed she had previously been “pranked and harassed.”
Once outside the car, officers described her speech as rapid and slurred, noting that she appeared unsteady on her feet and repeatedly fidgeted with her hands.
According to the report, Spears admitted to having “one mimosa” after waking up around 2 p.m. However, when asked to rate her intoxication level on a scale from zero to ten, she reportedly answered “zero.”
Authorities also observed what they described as dramatic shifts in her behavior during the encounter, saying her demeanor alternated between “confrontational and agitated” and “flamboyant and cooperative.”
