The 82-year-old performer is postponing his February and March arena shows after his surgeon advised that his lungs need more time to recover following recent cancer treatment.

Barry Manilow has postponed several of his upcoming arena shows after a recent health setback, just weeks before their scheduled dates. The 82-year-old revealed the news in a heartfelt message to fans, explaining that he is still recovering from a recent lung issue related to cancer treatment.

Manilow shared that, despite exercising daily and gradually increasing his singing practice, he was unable to perform more than three songs in a row without stopping. His surgeon confirmed that his lungs aren’t yet ready for the physical demands of a full 90-minute concert, leading to the rescheduling of shows originally set for February 27 through March 17.

The singer remains optimistic, however, and is planning to resume his Las Vegas residency in late March and restart his arena tour in April. He reassured fans, “When I do come back, I will COME BACK!!!” emphasizing his commitment to returning to the stage once fully healed.

This announcement follows an earlier health scare in December, when Manilow disclosed he had a cancerous spot on his lung, detected after weeks of bronchitis. Fortunately, the spot was found early, did not spread, and required no chemotherapy or radiation — only rest and recovery, which he is continuing to prioritize.
